The map shows two categories: officially monitored bathing sites — regularly tested under HN 92:2018 and approved by order of the Minister of Health — and recreational spots, i.e. recreational places by surface bodies of water that are not subject to all the monitoring, setup and maintenance requirements applied to bathing sites.

Tip: switch on “Show nearby events” or open a beach — you’ll see what events are happening close by.

How it works
01

Regular testing

During the bathing season the water is tested every two weeks — for E. coli and intestinal enterococci.

02

HN 92:2018 standards

Results are compared against the hygiene standard — green means it is safe to swim, red means it is not.

03
